We have been talking about the Secret, the Law of Attraction, how to use it and how to change our thinking. It is extremely important, especially in our mental relationship to money.
Wealth is a Mindset.
Be careful if your goal is to get out of debt. In or out- it doesn't matter; you are going to attract more debt.
Instead, set up an automatic debt repayment plan, and focus on increasing your income.
When you focus on lack, on what you don't have, scarcity, talk about it with others, speak about not having enough, that you can't afford it, etc... you attract more of all those things.
Want abundance? Want prosperity? Focus on that. Money attracts money. Instead of always expecting bills, start expecting checks. Want a certain amount in your bank account? Find your bank statement, white out the current amount, write in the amount you'd like- and put that in front of you, or on a Vision-Board to look at daily- and you will see that your life will soon follow.
Loral Langemeier said that she grew up thinking you had to work hard for money. She then replaced that thinking with: Money comes frequently and easily. She admitted that at first, she felt like she was lying to herself, and there was a battle inside her head. But she changed her mindset. According to her, 80% of her financial coaching focuses on the psychology of people andtheir inner conversations about money.
Wealth is a Mindset. Wealth is not just riches, just as riches alone are not wealth. Life was meant to be abundant in all areas. If you play not lose, guess what your going to attract more of? Play to win. Do yourself a favor and change your mindest; start expecting to win!

I agree with this completely. Unfortunately it is still hard to fully internalize the concept that you are describing: the notion that if you need more money, you can easily go out and make it.
Recently, I had a situation that was costing me a lot of money. I was able to step back and think about the problem from a different angle, and was able to find a way to make a financially difficult situation profitable. This was only possible by fully embracing the 'play to win' mindset you describe above. Until I did, I was writing it off as a loss.

I agree that wealth is a mindset but unfortunately changing your mindset is a very challenging thing. We've been exposed to beliefs that money is hard to come by and being in debt is a normal thing for so long that getting out of that mindset can be very daunting.
The most challenging thing in my opinion is the fact that each and every one of us has our own mindsets and in some ways you have to know where you're coming from to know where you're going. But I do like the idea of whiting out your bank balance and starting the process of changing your mindset with something visual.
